Are Ghosts Real? w/ Alex Brightman

CAN I JUST SAY THAT I’M STILL EXCITED THAT I GOT TO CONVERSE WITH MY IDOL ON MY OWN SHOW?

But really, in all seriousness, Alex Brightman is such a kind soul and I can’t thank him enough for being a guest on the show.

First of all, happy Monday everyone! I’m currently on vacation this week at my cousin’s house, and it has been a long-time coming. It’s like an entire week of self-care! Anyways, I started this episode with Alex by introducing him to the audience and then we really dived into conversation regarding his acting techniques with new material. I was also very impressed when he discussed his definition of success, as I’d never really looked at it that way.

Alex has a brilliant sense of humor, and it’s quite obvious of that as we go through the episode. As we moved into question about Beetlejuice, he actually explained HOW he morphs his voice into the voice we know and love on stage and on the soundtrack. I found it so interesting because I always thought that it was some crazy difficult process, and in reality, he just layers it on top of his regular speaking voice.

In case you were wondering, Alex mentions that he would love to play a character like Adam one day, just a regular ol’ guy. I’m positive that he’ll get this someday with his talent and persistence, I’m so excited to see what he does next! (He’s actually going to be the voice of Pugsley in a new Netflix Original “DeadEndia”! Be sure to keep a lookout for that!)

Listen to this episode with excitement, open hearts, and clear minds. Have a great week!
