shuttle to marrs

I made it this far. Now what? Frankie Marrs, host of Shuttle to Marrs, is back with a vengeance. Talking everything from being an actor, and creative, to graduating college, being an adult, and living through your twenties from her perspective. The key to living life is that there is no key, and Frankie uses her stories and advice to give some clarity to those who might be feeling the same way. Being thrown out into the world is rough, and sometimes you just need to laugh at someone else's pain to feel better about your own. Comfort, laughter, and surviving these years are all part of Shuttle to Marrs!

podcast show notes
We chatted about what life has been like as an educator and performer during such an uncertain time in our industry, but also how she feels about the comeback that we’re trying to make. With everything that’s happened, Lizz has found a way to stay positive and be self-aware with every class she teaches.
So, this week was so so so exciting because I got to welcome Martha Madison, a star of Days of Our Lives and AMDA Alumni!
This episode delves deep into what is going on in Hollywood right now, especially as we start to move in a positive direction of shooting TV shows and movies again. And yes, she is getting tested THREE times a week.
OKAY, wait, how is it the 10th episode already? Ten weeks ago, I uploaded my very first episode of Shuttle to Marrs with total fear that it wouldn’t go very well at all and now it’s grown into something I never really thought possible. After getting over the initial fear and, not to mention the bad reviews that I received at first, I have grown into the type of “I don’t give a F*CK” artist that I’ve always wanted to be. And I have you LOYAL people to thank for that.
This week’s episode is HERE. Thank you, everyone, for your wonderful wishes and constant stream of support. Coming out of last week was a difficult race, but thankfully, I finished it. I’m so excited to be back in full swing this week with some great stories to share with you.
This week I have really struggled to keep myself motivated, yet it seems like my life has decided to run without me! BUT, we’re back and ready for another Monday to have a great start to the week!
So, I have spent the last week going back and forth from home to work, trying to juggle a full-time job as well as a full-time online student schedule. Needless to say, I have been stretched pretty think this week.
In this week’s episode, I decided to dive deeper into the musical Hamilton by Lin-Manuel Miranda and express my own thoughts about the staging, acting, and overall story-telling of the show.
So, I had been super super excited to finally get to see Hamilton (even if it is filmed and not live) and I wasn’t disappointed. I had been watching it in broken pieces here and there when it was first released but didn’t get to fully watch it until last week (I know, it’s basically a sin in the theatre world).
CAN I JUST SAY THAT I’M STILL EXCITED THAT I GOT TO CONVERSE WITH MY IDOL ON MY OWN SHOW?
But really, in all seriousness, Alex Brightman is such a kind soul and I can’t thank him enough for being a guest on the show.
I wish I could say that this post is a happy, go-lucky update to my life post graduation. But it isn’t.
